August 14
Ellis Park Race Day

First Lady Jane Beshear and the Kentucky Cancer Program have planned a wonderful event to raise breast cancer awareness and to honor breast cancer survivors on Ellis Park’s biggest race day, the Gardenia Stakes. New this year, Horses and Hope guests will be seated in the private Gardenia Room, located on the second floor overlooking the track. Award winning jockey, PJ Cooksey, will lead the parade of horses for a special Horses and Hope race named in honor of breast cancer survivors. The race will be commemorated with a survivor photo on the race track. Please wear pink for the occasion!

Ticket packages ($20) include track admission, buffet lunch, seating in the private, air conditioned Gardenia Room, and a special Horses and Hope souvenir. Seating is limited, so make your reservations in advance by returning the enclosed card with cash/check to the Kentucky Cancer Program. Tickets will be sold the day of the event based on availability. Guests should enter the Main Entrance and check in at the Horses and Hope table..
